Technical Information

Flame-Failure Safety Function

The thermocouple is positioned within the pilot or burner flame. While heated, it helps keep the gas valve open during normal operation.

If the flame goes out and the thermocouple cools, the built-in safety mechanism is designed to close the valve and interrupt the gas supply.
