How It Operates

Pressing the ignition button activates the internal piezo mechanism, producing a high-voltage pulse. When connected to a suitable ignition lead and electrode, the pulse creates a spark across the required gap to ignite the gas.

For dependable operation, the spark gap should normally be set to approximately 2–3mm, depending on the appliance specification.
