Delivery Information

Free standard delivery is available on orders over £60 excluding VAT, weighing up to 30kg.

This offer applies only to:

• UK mainland addresses, excluding the Scottish Highlands and Islands
• Products currently held in stock
• Orders that do not require specialist, pallet or machinery delivery

Orders under £60 excluding VAT are subject to a delivery charge of £6.95 plus VAT.

Where possible, orders are dispatched using a fast courier service. Delivery times are estimates and may vary depending on stock availability, the delivery location and the size or weight of the order.

Kerbside Delivery

Unless agreed otherwise in writing, all deliveries are made on a kerbside-only basis.

For heavy machinery, appliances and palletised goods, the customer is responsible for ensuring that suitable access, equipment and personnel are available to safely move the goods from the delivery point into the premises.

Drivers are not responsible for carrying goods inside, unpacking, positioning or installing equipment.

Age-Restricted Products

Proof of age may be required upon delivery of any age-restricted product. The courier may refuse delivery where satisfactory identification cannot be provided.

Split Deliveries

Some orders may be dispatched separately from different warehouses or fulfilment locations. As a result, items from the same order may arrive in more than one delivery.

Returning Items Purchased Online

Stock items purchased online may be returned within 28 days of delivery, subject to the conditions below.

Returned items must be:

• Unused
• Complete
• In their original packaging
• In a clean and resaleable condition
• Accompanied by the order number or proof of purchase

The customer is responsible for arranging and paying for the return delivery.

We strongly recommend using a tracked and adequately insured delivery service. Unique Food Machinery Limited cannot accept responsibility for returned goods that are lost, stolen, damaged or not delivered.

Please place a note inside the package showing:

• Your full name
• Order number
• Contact details
• Reason for the return

Returns must not be sent until return authorisation has been received from us.

Return Address

Please contact sales@umfl.co.uk before returning any goods to confirm the correct returns address and obtain return instructions.

Special Orders, Machinery and Appliances

Special-order products, bespoke items, machinery and appliances may be subject to a restocking or cancellation charge.

Where an item has been specifically ordered from a supplier or manufacturer for the customer, a restocking charge of up to 30% of the product value may apply.

This charge may cover costs including:

• Supplier cancellation charges
• Return transport
• Inspection and handling
• Repackaging
• Administrative costs
• Loss in resale value

Special-order, bespoke or custom-manufactured products may not be returnable unless they are faulty, damaged or incorrectly supplied.

By placing an order for a special-order or non-stock product, the customer acknowledges and accepts that a restocking charge may apply.

Incorrect Items

In the event that we have supplied an incorrect item due to a picking or dispatch error, please contact us as soon as possible.

Once the error has been confirmed, we will arrange an appropriate replacement, collection or return.

Please do not return incorrect items without first receiving instructions from us.

Damaged Goods

All goods should be inspected carefully at the time of delivery.

If an item arrives visibly damaged, please note the damage on the courier's delivery paperwork before signing, where possible.

Damage must be reported to us within 48 hours of delivery by emailing sales@umfl.co.uk.

Please provide:

• Your order number
• A description of the damage
• Clear photographs of the damaged product
• Photographs of the internal packaging
• Photographs of the external packaging
• Photographs of the courier label

Please retain the product and all original packaging until the claim has been reviewed.

Failure to report damage within 48 hours or failure to provide the required photographs may affect our ability to submit or process a claim with the courier.

Important Information

Refunds are processed only after returned goods have been received and inspected.

Any refund will normally be made using the original payment method. Original delivery charges, return delivery costs and any applicable restocking charges may be deducted where permitted.

Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights.
